ONE of the North West’s leading employment lawyers has joined professional services firm Knights.

Emma Swan, who has been nominated for the Downtown Women in Business Awards, has more than 12 years’ experience specialising in employment issues for both public and private sector clients.

A School of Law Chester graduate, Emma has spent her entire career working for clients in the North West. Hailing from Lancaster, she is pleased to be joining the team at Knights.

“I am delighted to be joining such a forward thinking firm,” she said. “Knights is focussed on the clients’ needs, an ethos I have always adopted in my career.”

“There is a very strong leadership team in place, which allows partners to focus their resources on delivering effective client services. Working in this business model is a really exciting prospect.”

“While I will be working with colleagues from Knights’ Staffordshire office, I will continue to work for clients in the North West too.”

Emma practices an extensive range of employment law with particular expertise in employment tribunal litigation, HR issues and offers strategic employment advice to a range of clients.

David Beech, CEO of Knights, said: “Emma is a very welcome addition to our excellent employment team here at Knights.”

“She is a real expert in her field and will play an integral part in expanding the firm’s already well-respected employment team into a different area, as well as enhancing the services we can offer to clients.”

“Her reputation is extremely strong and I am sure she will be an asset to the firm as we continue to grow.”

The recent recruitment of Simon Bloch and Will Clayton has already bolstered the employment team at Knights, which is now 11 strong and includes seven partners.

Knights has an ambitious expansion strategy to become a top 100 law firm by 2017 and is one of the fastest-growing law firms in the UK with offices in Gloucester, Chester, Staffordshire and Derby.

Since the beginning of 2015 it has recruited 60 professionals taking the firm total to 220.
