Last week the huddled team were invited to attend Mobile at MediaCom’s Manchester office. The event focused on the importance of mobile advertising in today’s technologically-advanced world from a range of influential business leaders. 

Upon arrival we were greeted by the friendly MediaCom staff who gave us our passes and directed us to the conference room where the event was being held. We were offered tea and coffee (always appreciated by the huddled team) and made our way to our seats.

The event was introduced by MediaCom’s Managing Director, Paul Cooper who was followed by talks from TMT Industry, Deloitte, AO.com, Thinkbox, UKOM, Facebook and Google. Each speaker discussed in detail about maximising the mobile opportunity as well as how mobile plays a key role in our professional and personal lives.

It was interesting to witness such a diverse range of presentations from MediaCom’s love of emojis to how AO.com make their products interesting using video content and mobile optimisation to attract a wider audience. All of the speakers really made the effort to make their presentations fun and interesting, which helped us all stay engaged. They all addressed the importance of mobile advertising from different perspectives and learning how mobile is changing the marketing world proved to be a really educational topic.
