Manchester-based e-liquid specialists, TABlites have released a guide to the new Tobacco Products Directive which came into UK law on May 20th 2017.

Under the Directive, e-liquids must not contain a nicotine strength above 20mg/ml. As most vapers are now choosing e-liquids of a lower strength due to the improvements made to devices, most will not be affected by the removal of 24mg strength e-liquids.

13% of TABlites customers are currently using e-liquids containing 24mg/ml and will be affected by this change to the law. From May 19th, TABlites will no longer sell e-liquids containing more than 20mg/ml, though their full range of own brand flavours will still be available in 6mg, 12mg and 18mg concentrations.

Tablites will be fully compliant to the new laws.

Jonathan Greenfield, Director at TABlites commented: ‘Our intention has always been to provide our customers with the best cigarette alternatives on the market, and we are pleased that the new laws will do more to protect their consumer rights. TDP will ensure that the e-liquids and e-cigarettes are of the highest quality, an ethos TABlites holds close.

‘13% of our customers will be affected by the reduction in the nicotine limit and we will help all our customers to adjust to the new regulations and reduce their nicotine consumption. Our guide aims to educate our customers and provide them with a clear understanding of the new laws coming in this month.’
