SK Events has appointed Liverpool-based advertising and branding agency, Black & Ginger, to develop a new brand identity for the annual Liverpool Food & Drink Festival. The event – which has been organised by Liverpool-based event management company, SK Events – since 2008, attracts around 40,000 visitors every year.
Managing Director of SK Events, Denise Harris, was impressed by Black & Ginger’s approach to the brief. She said: “We’re really looking forward to working with the Black & Ginger. The team have shown a clear passion for Liverpool Food & Drink Festival and a real understanding of the direction we would like to take the brand.
“Liverpool Food & Drink Festival has grown significantly since its inception and we have now gained national recognition as a well-established food and drink event, attracting brands such as Typhoo, John West and Stena Line, as well as celebrities like Paul Hollywood (pictured), Marco Pierre White and John Torode.”
Black & Ginger has a wealth of experience in developing creative for large scale public events, including Liverpool’s Sea Odyssey Giant Spectacular.

This year’s Liverpool Food & Drink Festival will take place from 7th to the 15th September. The event will start with an open-air weekend celebration in the heart of Sefton Park, featuring food from more than 100 top local chefs, 60 producers, a beer festival, wine tastings, celebrity chef demonstrations and master classes The festival will continue with special events at bars, restaurants and arts venues across the city.
