Following another successful year of growth, creative and digital PR agency Smoking Gun, has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Hayley Peters.

Peters, who joins the team from Weber Shandwick, as senior account director, will deliver strategic counsel and support to a number of the agency’s biggest clients, in addition to driving new business and developing the agency’s insight-driven approach to communications.

As part of her previous role, Hayley headed up planning and insight, as well as leading on a number of key accounts including Holiday Inn, QHotels, Warburtons and Aldi mother & baby.

Last week, the agency which has been running for four years, scooped four accolades at the CIPR North-West Awards, including a gold for best event and best use of photography for Virgin Holidays.

This senior appointment follows a number of hires for the agency over the last six months including Tally Thompson as junior account executive, Kineta Kelsall as digital manager, and Beth Nicholson and Kirstin Mack as senior account executives taking the head count to 16.
