Manchester based PR agency Galibier has added two new members to its team.
James Hennigan joins as a senior account manager; he was previously Head of Media for John Leech MP as well as being a Manchester City Councillor himself. In his work for John Leech, Hennigan took a leading role in the successful national campaign to grant Manchester hero Alan Turing a posthumous pardon.
James will work across some of Galibier’s client accounts in sectors including education, finance, technology and law, where his political background is expected to add a new dimension to clients’ campaigns to influence policymakers and stakeholders. He says:
“I’m excited to have joined such a rapidly growing company. As a proud Mancunian I have seen how some of Galibier’s national campaigns have really helped to put Manchester on the map. And with my background in government I feel I can bring something different to the agency.”
Also joining the Galibier team is Nermin Ali who takes up the position of senior account executive. She was previously at Tree Communications – where she worked for brands including The Printworks, Finnair and the award-winning campaign “Bez’s Bees”. Hailing originally from Sweden and from a family of Kurdish origin, Nermin speaks six languages, and despite her well-travelled and multicultural background she speaks fluent English with the accent of a native northerner.
Galibier managing director Oliver Chesher says:
“James and Nermin are both real assets to the team. As we continue to grow our company at a great rate, we are able to compete for the very best talent in the region and I know that they will both contribute to our continued success. They are here to pioneer new possibilities and we are proud to have them on board.”
