Talented hopefuls are being invited to the leading entertainment and leisure venue to take part in the first round of auditions on Saturday 25th April, ahead of the live final on Saturday 16th May, where the budding artists will perform in front of a live judging panel, including a celebrity guest judge.

The winning act will receive £400 and an exclusive recording session to produce an EP. Entries are open now and talented musicians of all ages are welcome to enter – no age restrictions apply. Audition performances will take place either with a professional backing track or an acoustic guitar at The Pump Yard area within The Printworks.

The overall winner will then be chosen by the judging panel, which includes The Printworks’ very own Jack Barton of Hard Rock Cafe along with, Phil Ireland of drum and bass duo, Breaking Waves.

Last year, Babalola Ehidiamen was crowned the winner of the contest and went on to record his EP and make it to the Bootcamp stages of The X Factor.

Fred Booth, The Printworks Centre Director, says: “The Printworks Unsigned is one of the highlights of the Manchester music scene, and offers budding artists a fantastic platform to showcase their talent. We are looking forward to seeing the amazing talent that the North West has to offer. Entries are open now and we wish all singers and bands the best of luck.”
