June 24, 2015 – Leading audio branding specialist PH Media Group has continued its support for charity by raising £7,270 for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.
A fundraising push across the firm’s Manchester and London offices, generated a huge £3,635 for the Disasters Emergency Committee, an amount which was doubled by the company board to form the grand total.

The money donated will go towards helping individuals, families and communities in Nepal rebuild their lives after the April earthquake.

It is the latest in a range of fundraising activities carried out by the firm under the banner of its charity, the PHMG Foundation. On top of the efforts to raise money for Nepal, the Foundation aims to raise a total of £19,000 in 2015 through a range of initiatives.

Staff have already raised a total of £10,091 at the campaign’s halfway point.

Most recently, employees from the marketing, data, sales and production departments braved the rain and set sail down Salford Quays to take part in the Dragon Boat festival, raising a total of £1514.74 for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

“After seeing the devastating effects of the earthquake, there was no question as to whether we should step up to support the appeal,” said Chris Berisford, Finance Director at PH Media Group.

“We already organise a series of fundraising events year-round for a number of charities as part of our own initiative, the PHMG Foundation, but it’s also extremely important for us to help people in their time of need.

“Hopefully we have been able to make a difference to the aid operation in Nepal.”

As part of their fundraising campaign, staff from the company will also be taking part in a series of upcoming adrenaline-pumping activities including the three peaks challenge and a skydive.

The PHMG Foundation’s charities for 2015 include Help for Heroes, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, St Christopher’s Hospice, St Ann’s Hospice, GOSH, Ronald McDonald House, Christies, Shelter, Sparks, Meningitis Trust, Alzheimer’s Society and Macmillan.
