Chartered insurance provider, Caunce O’Hara, has strengthened its place within the market and its presence within the North West business community with record growth for 2015.
The broker – which is headquartered in Manchester, but also has a strong foothold in Aberdeen, London and the South East – has enjoyed a 20 per cent increase in turnover for commercial insurance and a 30 per cent increase in revenue generated from schemes provided.

Caunce O’Hara has also invested in the growth of its team – now topping 40 members of staff – with the appointment of two specialists who will join the department to focus on expanding their presence within the niche Umbrella company sector.

Natalie Albert, previously head of broking, has also been promoted to Commercial Director.

She said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Commercial Director at such a crucial time for the business. Recent growth has allowed us to invest not only in our people, but also in our brand image and culture.

“We will be completing a major corporate rebrand in the autumn and I’ve no doubt that this will be instrumental in helping to build Caunce O’Hara’s presence within target sectors – something that’s a significant commercial objective, along with communicating our innovation.”

In 1996, Caunce O’Hara became the UK’s first insurance broker to offer professional indemnity insurance online, after the company pioneered online transactions utilising its own intellectual property and creating a bespoke scheme that offers a compliant and competitive method of online insurance acquisition.

In another demonstration of growth, the company is also committed to supporting its already large, and quickly expanding, customer base in the south of England by establishing a London office in 2015.

Managing director, Stephen Darcy, commented: “Since launching, Caunce O’Hara has worked tirelessly to build a strong reputation across the markets within which we operate. We’re passionate about being able to provide customers with exactly what they need and deliver our service in the most effective and innovative way possible.

“Our growth is representative of this and by bolstering our team of specialists and cementing our presence across all areas – both in terms of sector and location – the future looks bright.”
