Liverpool creative agency Studio Jo and Co is celebrating after picking up three awards for work with Widnes demolition company S Evans and Sons at the 2016 Transform Awards Europe.

The awards which took place at The Old Brewery in the City of London celebrated entries from Austria to France, to Sweden and beyond – branding talent from charities, NGOs, corporate firms and agencies was all on display.
In addition to a silver award for ‘Best brand development project to reflect changed mission/values/positioning, Jo and Co picked up a Gold in ‘Best Use of Typography’, and ‘Best Visual Identity From the Industrial Sector’.

Brand Director at Jo and Co, Gary Wheat said “we opened our Studio two years ago with the aim of producing great work for great clients. To have been shortlisted for these awards was an achievement in itself, to have picked up three awards was fantastic. We are absolutely made up. We were up against some of the biggest names in international branding so its a testimony to both our team and our clients that we were able to more than hold our own.”

Built around wire trellising, meshing and chipped concrete the identity was judged to be ‘an ode to the beauty of destruction’. The bespoke typography was felt to ‘turn the concept of demolition on its head’.

Andrew Thomas of  Transform Magazine said “Each brand that has been involved in this year’s awards, global or local, has demonstrated outstanding creative ability and strategic thought while working closely and collaborating with their agencies.”

The international judging panel said the work was ‘very bold’ and hailed it as ‘a huge leap forward’.
