Marketing and design agency, Sunny Thinking is behind the redesign of Manchester’s health and wellbeing service, buzz, which has launched to improve the health of people living in the city. The new service is provided by Manchester Mental Health and Social Care Trust and commissioned by Manchester City Council.

The Altrincham-based agency has created the brand identity from naming, logo design and developing their tone of voice and visual style, through to rolling out the new identity across multiple channels and communications, including design of the website and video.

The aim of buzz is to increase healthy life expectancy by supporting individuals to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing by promoting self-care and personal resilience.

Bridget Hughes, General Manager of Health & Wellbeing at MMHSCT said: ‘Having previously worked with Jonathan and the team at Sunny Thinking on a number of hugely successful public health projects, we are now delighted with what they are helping us to develop at buzz. Since launching this month the feedback to our new brand has been incredibly positive.’

“This is the type of project we really love getting stuck into because wellbeing is at the heart of Sunny Thinking, so we were delighted to be approached to create the new brand for buzz – the new Manchester Health & Wellbeing Service,” explains Jonathan Reed, managing director of Sunny Thinking. “We’re all about encouraging people to live healthier, fitter and happier lives. From working with clients like the NHS, Making Space and Greater Sport to sponsoring a local grass roots rugby team, we exist to create communications and marketing to get people active and living longer.”

After several new client wins, Sunny Thinking has plans in place to growing its team of account managers, designers and copywriters.
