Continuing to grow apace, Flintshire-based Anwyl Homes has recently completed and exchanged contracts on a trio of new sites worth £65million.
Focusing its expansion aims in North Wales and across the North West, Anwyl has acquired land in Wrexham, Prescot and Telford that will deliver a total of 405 new build homes.
In Wrexham, Anwyl has purchased circa 11 acres in Llay, with planning permission to build 182 properties. The development will mainly comprise a range of three and four bedroom houses, plus a number of one, two and three bedroom affordable homes. Located off Straight Mile, the new residential development will be known as ‘Maes-y-Rhedyn’.
Having built in Wrexham previously, Anwyl Homes are thrilled to be back in the town. Mathew Anwyl, housing managing director at Anwyl Homes, comments: ‘It is great to be back building in Wrexham. The proposed plans for Maes-y-Rhedyn are superb with a fantastic selection of thoughtfully designed, high quality properties. We remain committed to our North Wales heartland and are proud to be delivering much needed homes in Wrexham.’
In addition to the new residential development, Anwyl Homes has also made several significant financial contributions in the locality, including £1.4m towards education and approximately £10,000 towards transport.
Making its mark in Merseyside, Anwyl Homes has also acquired just over nine acres of land in Prescot for a stunning new residential development of 122 homes. It will be the first development for the newly formed Anwyl Homes Lancashire division. Formerly the Prysmian Cable Factory, the site on Carr Lane forms part of the wider Prescot Park development that will eventually comprise around 750 new homes and open space. With construction due to start soon, Anwyl will transform the site with an attractive mix of three and four bedroom semi-detached and detached properties, set in a sensitively landscaped setting.
The most recent land acquisition for Anwyl is 15.2 hectares in Wellington, Telford. It is the first time that Anwyl Homes has purchased land in Telford, with the housebuilder planning to deliver 101 properties, including a mix of one, two, three and four bedroom homes.
Mathew continues: ‘We are committed to our growth strategy and increasing our presence across North Wales and the North West, and these recent land acquisitions are a testament to that. Having built in Wrexham many times before our brand is established, however it is very exciting to be entering new territory with both Prescot and Telford a first for the company.’
