Downtown in Business will host a major conference as part of the International Business Festival on Wednesday 13th June.
‘Devolution, Innovation and the Business Effect’ will focus on the future of the Northern Powerhouse and the Midlands Engine, with contributions from leading decision-makers and entrepreneurs from across the UK.
The property market, the digital sector, creating enterprising cities, and city leadership will be the focus of this exclusive one- day event which will take place within the Festival venue at the ACC Liverpool.
Downtown boss Frank McKenna said:
“I am delighted that we have been able to partner with the IBF to host this important event.
“The Northern Powerhouse and the Midlands Engine have been touted as initiatives that will re-balance and transform the economy of UK Plc.
“However, transport infrastructure aside, what positive impact can devolution have on business and economic growth? And what is the new thinking around the growth sectors and business support assets that are necessary for ambitious, innovative cities?
“This conference will bring delegates face-to-face with forward-thinking industry leaders, decision-makers and entrepreneurs who are successfully navigating their way through an era of unprecedented change, disruption, and opportunity in our great cities.”
Conference tickets are free to Downtown members and includes a day pass to the International Business Festival. Speakers will be announced next week.
