Crewe-based FHL Cloud Solutions (FHL), Europe’s-leading cloud solutions provider, is investing in local graduates and undergraduates to support its growth plans.

Seven full-time graduates and 18 undergraduate placement students will join the company in June 2018, with plans to invest in about 30 more by the end of March 2019.

All but one of the new recruits have been sourced from Staffordshire University, which is working in close partnership with FHL to deliver top quality candidates to support the company’s growth aspirations.

‘We are looking to increase revenue by 30 per cent this financial year which means growing the FHL team at an optimal rate to realise our targets’, says Darren Birt, Operational Director from FHL Cloud Solutions. ‘The majority of the new recruits will be trained on product development, consultancy and customer support services to cope with increasing client demand.’

The undergraduate students – all from Staffordshire University – will be on 12 month placements at FHL. At the end of the placements, it will be decided whether the students will be returning to FHL to take-up full-time positions once they have completed their studies.

Darren Birt says, ‘We’ve been investing in graduates and undergraduates, largely from Staffordshire University, since 2009 and it has proven a successful recruitment route. This year, we’ll be taking on more new hires than ever before and have no plans to ease-off our recruitment drive.’

Sarah Tudor, Director of Employer Partnerships at Staffordshire University commented,

‘Companies like FHL are recognising that by committing to both the graduate recruitment and undergraduate placements, they are hiring fresh talent with enthusiasm, great ideas and the latest skills and thinking. The investment really does make smart and long-term business sense.’

FHL provides all new recruits with intensive company and industry training and mentorship schemes to ensure they get up-to-speed as quickly as possible.

Darren Birt adds,

‘We champion a two-way relationship at FHL. Our graduates and undergraduates are given first-rate training and mentorship and in return, we expect them to deliver quality work and strive for excellence. It’s important to give new recruits every chance to succeed and it’s this approach which ensures FHL’s team remains the very best in the industry.’
