Tom Miller, from Ruabon in Wrexham, has been appointed by Anwyl Homes as trainee architectural technician.  Tom, aged 19, is based at the company’s Head Office at St David’s Park in Ewloe.  It is his first full time job since finishing his A Levels.

In his new role, Tom will assist the team with drawings, house packs and external finish schedules, learning from his peers.  Whilst working for the Flintshire-based housebuilder, Tom will also continue to study for his HNC, completing his second year and gaining his qualification.

Tom comments: “I was attracted to Anwyl Homes as it is an exciting company that has grown impressively over the last few years.  They were able to offer me a role doing the type of work I want to be involved in, which was great, and they are committed to my development too.

“I want to learn as much as I can and gather knowledge which will help me better myself, and I hope to continue to study to gain further qualifications, allowing me to garner more responsibility in time.”

Managing Director at Anwyl Homes Cheshire and North Wales, Phil Dolan, said: “Tom is really ambitious and has a genuine desire to learn, which is refreshing to see.  We are thrilled to welcome him to the company and wish him well as he starts off his career at Anwyl Homs as a trainee architectural technician.”

Tom has A Levels in Biology, Maths and Physical Education.  Away from work he likes to socialise with his friends, and he plays football for local team Cefn Albion.
